A new state-of-the-art factory in Kenitra

On September 14, 2022, the Moroccan company Special Steel and Thermal Treatments (SATT) inaugurated its new factory equipped with the latest generation equipment. Spread over an area of ​​2,200m², this site is located in the industrial acceleration zone of Kenitra, as reported Today the Morocco in its September 15 issue.

Requiring an investment of 21 million dirhams for its construction, this new plant will handle the heat treatment of aeronautical, automotive and mechanical parts through a metallurgical process transforming the crystallographic structure of these parts. Result: their lifespan and their resistance to the various mechanical stresses increase.

For the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, who presided over the inauguration ceremony, “this project, supported by the supervisory department as part of the assembly ecosystem, is a pioneering project”. This new activity “brings a strong and essential link in the production and maintenance of parts in the key sectors of Moroccan industry and contributes to the development of the “aero-engine” sector that the Kingdom aims to boost”, he said. -he supported, before adding that it will also contribute to the development of expertise within the local industrial fabric.

The ambition of SATT is to materialize the will of the aeronautical and automotive companies established in Morocco, to integrate the new metallurgical requirements, as relayed by the newspaper. The latter also adds that the company will very soon acquire new furnaces to increase its treatment capacity. It is also considering an extension of its new factory.
