Already 20 years for the Food Process and Quality Technology program at Cégep à Joliette Info Lanaudière

The Food Process and Quality Technology (TPQA) program at the Cégep à Joliette organized a scholarship award ceremony for its students on September 22 and took the opportunity to highlight the 20 years of existence of the training within of his establishment.

In total, $6,200 in scholarships were awarded. All first-year students received a $500 scholarship and a pair of steel-toed rubber boots, mandatory factory gear. Three $250 scholarships were also drawn among them. All students of 2e year received a reference book intended for courses in the dairy field. Finally, a $50 gift card to the Cégep student cooperative was offered to everyone.

More than 25 companies, suppliers and organizations took part in the activity. “It was important for us to mark this event with all those who contributed directly or indirectly to the development of the training. We hope to create a closer link with the industry” underlined Ms. Nathalie Nadeau, TPQA teacher and co-organizer of the event.

It should be noted that in addition to the awarding of scholarships and celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the program, the TPQA department took the opportunity to unveil its brand new logo and present the training modernization project which aims to make it more attractive to future students.
