Aoun chairs a meeting on the issue of displaced persons and receives a delegation from the education technology union

NNA – The President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, chaired a meeting on Wednesday in the presence of the outgoing Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, Abdallah Bou Habib and Hector Hajjar, alongside several other officials, to discuss the issue of displaced Syrians .

Minister Hajjar said those gathered agreed to send a letter to the UN Secretary General, on Lebanon’s position with regard to the repatriation of the displaced and a letter to the UNHCR, to delineate its role under the ceiling of Lebanese law.

In addition, the Head of State met with a delegation from the executive council of the Education Technology union in Lebanon. Union leader Rabih Baalbaki explained the union’s strategic plan to achieve digital transition in education and creativity.

Mr. Aoun affirmed that the digital transition is the obligatory passage towards the fight against corruption and the reinforcement of the transparency and the development of the administration.
