“Momo App”, a new application to facilitate financial transactions in the markets of Côte d’Ivoire was launched by the mobile financial service of Mtn Côte d’Ivoire for traders, customers and wholesalers on Friday July 29, 2022 , in Abidjan-Plateau.

It will take into account all electronic transactions to avoid questions of insecurity, physical exchange, currency… In particular, this new technology will allow women who sell retail to order and pay for their products through this application without fresh from the wholesaler.

In addition to transactions, everyone can benefit from loans, insurance and above all develop their economy with this new product.

To this end, an agreement was signed between the subsidiary Mtn Mfs headed by its general manager Lynda Ahui Mensah and representatives of six markets in Côte d’Ivoire. In particular, Cocovico Angré, Forum d’Adjamé, Djè Konan de Koumassi, Yopougon Selmer, Treichville and the Bouaké wholesale market.

Speaking on behalf of the associated town halls, Jean-Marc Yacé, mayor of the municipality of Cocody, welcomed this innovation which improves the conditions of sale and purchase in the Ivorian markets.

“This formula is to be welcomed because it allows the security of commercial exchanges. Local elected officials are delighted because it will avoid quarrels in the markets, ”he said before congratulating the initiators.
