However, there may be times when the bookmarks bar in Google Chrome disappears and you cannot find your settings. So what should you do to make it appear again?
the bar of your favorite sites is a very great advantage that allows you to optimize browsing in Google Chrome and even in other browsers. In particular, it allows to have at all times a backup of all your favorite sites, your most important addresses and others. Also, the bookmark bar represents a kind of personal bookmark that you have in your Google Chrome browser.
In order to restore this bar, a well-defined but fairly simple process must be followed. First open the Google Chrome browser by clicking on the window in the right corner. You will see 3 dots positioned vertically. It’s the one chrome menu. If the latter is displayed, you have to click on the option ” favourites “.
Now enable the “Show Bookmarks Bar” tab so that it appears. You can also use the keyboard shortcut ” Ctrl+Shift+B which will restore your missing bar. It now appears under the website URL search bar. To access all your favorite websites, click on the Bookmark Manager tab. Once they appear, you can organize them by the page you use most, especially if you have multiple bookmarks.
We generally find the menu bar at the level of the windows or at the top of the screen. It consists of a series of words that you can click on. This bar is often represented by specific functions, namely:
- file ;
- Editing ;
- help etc.
However, Google Chrome does not have a menu bar. The menu is only represented by the above three items. In general, however, there are intermediate words that can be found in the menu bar.
Much depends on the software used. This can disappear at any time. You have several options for displaying it. Press the “Alt” buttonthe keyboard ; this is the first tip. If that key doesn’t work, click the one that says ” Alt GR “.
Now click on the “View” tab in the upper left corner of the window. Next select the Toolbars section. This action brings up the toolbars you want to display.
Just search for “toolbarand then click on it. It will automatically appear in its usual place. However, it should be noted that the Google Toolbar is initially downloadable in a different window.
Using the bookmarks bar makes navigation much easier. However, if you save multiple pages, your bar will undoubtedly be very full. As a result, some favorites are hidden and you need to view more to access them.

First you need to show the bookmarks bar (if you haven’t already) from the menu. Then click on the first page link. When it appears, all you have to do is press the star icon that represents the favorite. A context menuEdit Favorite” will appear.
Just delete the name of this page by using the combination “CTRL+A” then “CTRL+X“. Then select the option “in order” confirm. You will now only see the icon for this favorite in the bar. Repeat this process to display the other icons and thus extend the list of favorites in the bar.

Then click Favorites. You will see the Bookmark Manager option. This will show you the favorite folders. One is the one that contains those that appear in the favorites bar (folders “favorite bar“).
