Can Tho (VNA)- Can Tho University inaugurated the research laboratory complex and high-tech building in Can Tho on October 30.
These are the two most modern laboratories in the Mekong Delta of the ODA (Official Development Assistance) project on the modernization of Can Tho University through the loan from the Japanese government.
According to Professor Ha Thanh Toan, rector of Can Tho University, the project with a total capital of 12.306 million Japanese yen (2.250 billion dong) including 10.456 million yen (1.912 billion dong) loan ODA and 1,850 million yen (338 billion dong) of matching funds from Can Tho University.
This project has 5 main components: human resources development; implementation of research projects; infrastructure construction; investments in equipment and consulting services.
In the “Infrastructure construction” component, there are 2 works mentioned above which are the research laboratory complex and the high-tech building.
The work “complex of laboratory building” with 7 floors is built on an area of 16,654 m2 while the 5-storey high-tech building, with an area of 25,713 m2. With a modern architecture, these two multifunctional buildings are used for training, scientific research , studies and provide high quality human resources for the development of the country.
