Various cosmetic products using micro-needles are already on the market, mainly for anti-aging purposes, but the development of micro-needle technology for tattoos is new. Prausnitz, a veteran in this field, has for years studied microneedle patches to painlessly deliver drugs and vaccines to the skin without the need for hypodermic needles.
