The Antoine Lacassagne anti-cancer center in Nice is back. The Nice cancer center is developing several ambitious and innovative projects aimed at improving treatments for all types of cancer, and continues to invest in research at the same time.

Innovative technologies

The Lacassagne center has the distinction of having one of the most complete technical platforms in Europe, equipped with high-tech instruments and devices. It places new technologies and cutting-edge techniques at the heart of its program.

Starting with a hospital IT platform that would use Artificial Intelligence. Thus, prevention, diagnosis and treatment would be facilitated and more effective. This technology will also allow patients’ medical data to be stored securely so that specialized researchers and engineers can create personalized therapies.

The DA VINCI surgical robot

But the cancer center is above all innovative, notably with its brand new latest-generation surgical robot, DA VINCI, capable of treating hard-to-reach cancer cells. A revolutionary technology, which will in particular avoid the use of so-called “open” surgery, which leaves physical sequelae.

This surgical robot could subsequently be used in other health establishments, and will be used to train the doctors of tomorrow, while developing new clinical trials.
