October, 2022 – OPPO received the Impact Award and Consumer Tech Innovation Award at BEYOND Expo 2022 in recognition of its achievements in sustainability and SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology.
Opened on September 21, this year’s BEYOND Expo has attracted more than 20,000 science and technology innovators and 500 technology companies from around the world. OPPO was among the companies exhibiting at the event, where it showcased its sustainability achievements and the results of the latest OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator.

As part of the BEYOND Expo, the BEYOND Awards highlight cutting-edge innovations in health, sustainability and consumer technology. Among these, the Impact Award aims to reward organizations for their impact on solving public issues through technology and for their positive contributions to the environment, science and technology. OPPO received this year’s Impact Award in recognition of the positive impact of the company’s sustainability actions and achievements.

Thanks to OPPO’s continuous efforts to provide faster and safer charging for electronic devices over the years, OPPO’s SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology was also named Breakthrough Technology of the Year and Breakthrough Technology by the BEYOND Award jury. The impact of flash charging and the ecosystem of products around this technology also led OPPO to receive the Consumer Tech Innovation Award.

OPPO leads the industry towards a more sustainable future
Guided by OPPO’s commitment to sustainability, OPPO Flash Charge technology was designed not only to deliver fast charging speeds to mobile devices, but also to improve safety and battery life. At BEYOND Expo 2022, OPPO showcased its industry-leading Battery Health Engine, which improves battery life through intelligent system-level battery health algorithm and battery regeneration technology. By doubling battery life compared to the current industry average, OPPO helps reduce e-waste and allows consumers to enjoy optimal performance from their smartphones for longer. As the first fast charging technology for mobile phones, OPPO SUPERVOOC Flash Charge has improved the charging experience for 220 million users worldwide. Technology continues to drive innovation and popularization of fast charging technology by licensing over 1,800 patents to third-party manufacturers to implement in their products.
During BEYOND Expo, OPPO also demonstrated its achievements in sustainable product packaging and its efforts to encourage industry partners to join the company in recycling e-waste. From 2018 to 2021, OPPO achieved a 95% reduction in the use of plastic for packaging the colorful boxes of its mobile phones, and in China, the company recycled 216 tons of mobile phone products.
OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator highlights the power of technology and innovation to solve key social challenges.
Launched by OPPO earlier this year, OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator is a platform designed to enable people involved in technology and innovation around the world to unleash the power of their ideas for the good of the community. At BEYOND Expo 2022, attendees were able to learn about all of this year’s Accelerator winning solutions. Among the concepts on display were a massive earthquake early warning system, an AI psychiatric diagnosis and treatment system, interactive holographic imaging technology, and more. These solutions all aim to address current issues in both areas of accessible technology and digital health, and reflect OPPO’s belief: “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World.”
