Presentation of Czech mining technologies in Vietnam | Science

Hanoi (VNA) – The General Department of geology and Minerals under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a workshop on October 3 in Hanoi to showcase state-of-the-art technologies from the Czech Republic in basic studies of geology andmining.

At the event, the Department’s Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Nguyen said that Vietnam received assistance from the Czech Republic in making a 1:50,000 scale map and a mineral exploration.

The event offers both sides a chance to discuss the use of Vietnamese and Czech technologies in mining and processing minerals, he added.

Pavel Kaniva, director of the Commodities Department under the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, said his country aims to expand cooperation with Vietnam in various fields, including mining technology and geological studies.

During the workshop, representatives of several Czech companies shared experiences and presented technologies in processing mineral resources and suggested measures to deal with environmental pollution after exploitation. -VNA
