The BMW group has announced that it is partnering with the AirConsole platform to integrate video games into the interiors of its cars, from 2023.

It will soon be possible to play video games in BMW vehicles. The German group has announced a partnership with the AirConsole platform, owned by N-Dream, which will integrate games into new BMW vehicles from next year.

Thus, the games will be directly integrated into the vehicle entertainment system, broadcast on the curved screen and will only require a smartphone, which will act as a controller.

The connection between the smartphone and the vehicle can be established, for example, by scanning a QR code in the vehicle.

To be able to play, the vehicle must be stationary. However, according to the site Digital, BMW is thinking about the possibility, for passengers only, to play while the car is driving thanks to the “Theatre Screen” mode. It will even be possible to play several.
