SIAT 2022 show from October 12 to 15 at Parc du Kram, technology at the service of agriculture

The SIAT 2022 Exhibition, International Exhibition of Agricultural Investment and Technology is scheduled from October 12 to 15, 2022 at the Kram Exhibition Center under the theme “Smart Investment for Sustainable Development”.

The 14th edition of SIAT, organized by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), will be marked by the participation of operators from 15 countries including Egypt, France, the United States of America, India , Indonesia, Russia and the Congo.

The fair offers farmers and investors an opportunity to exhibit their new technologies and learn about the opportunities available for the promotion of agricultural production, said APIA Director General, Inji Douggui.

She added during a press conference, held on Thursday in Tunis, that the national competition on technological solutions applied to agriculture “GREEN’TIC” which is held within the framework of this exhibition is maintained and “19 startups have been selected to participate in this competition which will take place on October 17, 2022”.

Note that three prizes will be awarded to the best projects in this competition. They will vary between 10 thousand dinars for the first prize, 7 thousand for the second and 5 thousand for the third.

On the program of SIAT 2022, there are several events such as an exhibition of cutting-edge technologies and research achievements in the fields of agriculture, agri-food, fishing and related services, and partnership meetings between Tunisian promoters and foreign partners with a view to establishing commercial relations and concluding production contracts.

About 15 demonstration sessions are also scheduled to present technological and technical innovations intended to improve production and enhance agricultural products.

In addition, Douggui underlined that the first international forum on responsible investment will be organized, on this occasion, at the initiative of APIA and in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
SIAT 2022, which will occupy an area of ​​10,000 m2, will register the participation of 220 exhibitors. Some 12,000 visitors are expected there, according to the organisers.
