Technology. WhatsApp back to normal after global outage

The instant messaging application WhatsApp, which belongs to the Meta group (also owner of Facebook), suffered a worldwide outage on Tuesday morning, from 9:02 a.m. (Paris time) to around 10:45 a.m., as reported by the specialized site DownDetector.

All WhatsApp services were affected: it was impossible to send messages, either from the application or the website.

Meta Group claimed to have resolved the global outage later in the morning: “We know people had trouble messaging on WhatsApp today,” a spokesperson for AFP told AFP. Meta. “We have resolved the issue and apologize for any inconvenience.”

A similar failure a year ago

On Twitter, many users shared their disappointment when logging into the application, some even explaining that the time was long with this outage.
