It’s possible to skate on plastic
The Glice company has installed an ice-free skating rink in Balexert. A welcome alternative in times of energy shortage, but which struggles to impose itself.
Children and adults spun on Wednesday on the false ice of Balexert.
LSURENT GUIRAUD
The children’s cries of excitement echo through the hall of Balexert. They are punctuated by the snapping of the skates on the surface of the ice rink installed in the heart of the shopping center. Ice? Not quite. This Wednesday, budding hockey players slide on a plastic structure. The imitation is so convincing that little Margot didn’t even notice it. “I love skating here!” she exclaims.
