In recent years, leaks of new Google products have left little room for excitement when discovered. Unfortunately for the Mountain View giant, the same momentum continues. But this time a Yummy think I know all the company’s plans for 2023-2025.

This anonymous source contacted Android authority to share the supposedly known elements. The American media cite this person as reliable and trustworthy. Android authority has made sure to review each project mentioned: some are set in stone, others less so.

This roadmap mainly focuses on Google’s upcoming smartphones. And the least we can say is that the company’s strategy could change significantly over the next few years. However, the 2023 vintage would not be innovative, with relatively classic specifications.

2023: Classic and big launch

So for next year we’ll have to go with a Pixel 7a (codename: ” lynx ’) sold for the same price as its predecessor, $449 in the United States. When will it be introduced? As in 2022, the Google I/O could be a large time window: Google’s big annual conference traditionally takes place in May.

Until then, the company’s intentions would not surprise anyone. On the other hand, the formalization of its first-ever foldable smartphone is enough to wow the masses. The one that could be called Pixel Fold would also use Google I/O to monopolize some media spotlights.

codified “Felix” internally, this foldable device would take on a book format, like a Galaxy Z Fold, which opens in two to become a small tablet. This model would also compete directly with Samsung’s given the supposed price of $1799. Either a niche tariff.

Later in 2023 Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro – we already hear about it – will logically take over. According to the anonymous source, no major changes would be made to this area… except for the classic version. The latter would adopt a more restrained format, both in terms of dimensions and screen size.

2024: Strong decisions are imminent

Google reserves the right to change its ways in 2024, for example by ignoring the Pixel 8a known by the codename “Akita” and possibly expected for $499. The launch of this version ” easy should depend on the commercial success of the Pixel 7a.

If the latter manages to seduce the masses, then the Pixel 8a would have a good chance of seeing the light of day. Otherwise, it would sit well in the closets of the Mountain View group… for a year at least. In fact, Google would consider biennial marketing for its “a” series, meaning every two years.

In autumn 2024, the new Pixel series would also be fundamentally revised. Alongside the classic Pixel 9 – which would adopt the evolutionary format of the Pixel 8 – and the Pixel 9 Pro (codenamed: “Komodo”), Google would add a second codified Pro version“caiman”.This model would correspond to a Pixel 9 Pro… in a more compact Pixel 9 format.

Here, Google would follow in Apple’s footsteps and pursue a more or less similar commercial strategy: two product lines characterized by more advanced technical characteristics for one, less sophisticated for the other and with different screen sizes.

2025: the flip temptation

In 2025, several tracks would be considered by Google. But again, the commercial success of his 2023 and 2024 plans will directly impact his decisions. Nothing is recorded or fixed here. However, it is rumored that a new foldable device, this time in a clamshell format, would be in the game. For when ? Fall 2025.

If no flip finally sees the light of day, then Google could focus on a more muscular range of four phones in total: a classic model with two different sizes, a Pro model again with two different sizes. A pattern that is definitely reminiscent of another: that of Apple.

We repeat: none of these elements are to be taken literally. The further away the projects seem, the more Google reserves the right to change them in the coming months or years.Android authoritynevertheless remains a reliable medium whose sources must be taken seriously.
